Develop
& Try Out Instructional Materials
How
do you know if the developed materials will achieve
their instructional objectives?
Before finalizing materials,
CEP engages in two levels of program testing: tryout
and pilot.
During tryout, we
test the training materials using client instructors
as students. The purpose of the tryout is to be sure
that each module gives participants the opportunity
to acquire the intended skill. The feedback from the
tryout is then incorporated before conducting a pilot
test.
The pilot is conducted
by client instructors on a small audience of the actual
target population. CEP observes the pilot to determine
whether the program flows properly and works as intended.
Feedback is incorporated before delivering final materials
to clients.
By conducting both levels
of testing, we can therefore
guarantee that the final instructional materials
will provide employees with the skills needed to perform
their jobs to management's expectations on the first
day after training.
