History
CEP was incorporated
in the state of Georgia in 1985. Prior to that time, the President
and CEO, Dr. Seth N. Leibler, and Executive Vice President,
Ann W. Parkman, of CEP managed the Center for Professional
Development and Training of the Centers for Disease Control
for more than ten years. During that time, their organization
was selected four times as the "Outstanding Training
Organization" in North America by the International Society
for Performance Improvement (ISPI). Their organization also
received six additional national and international awards
from ISPI and the American Society for Training and Development
for the quality of their work on specific projects. They have
an unparalleled record of awards among professionals in their
field.
As CEP continues
to expand and grow, its reputation as a source for quality
training and performance improvement services is growing as
well. In 1996, we became the publisher of all of Dr.
Mager's renowned books on training and performance improvement.
Through our Performance Improvement Consulting services, we
have worked on many large projects with clients such as Whirlpool
(training to support global initiatives), Fort James (training
for implementation of SAP), Budget Rent a Car (development
of training for a new computerized reservation system), UNICEF
(needs assessment and training development to improve health
care delivery in Africa), and Marriott (design and development
of a criterion-referenced training course for Business Travel
Sales Managers) to name only a few.
Today, CEP is an
internationally recognized provider of performance improvement
consulting, workshops, and publications. We are the exclusive
owner of the products of world-renowned training expert Dr.
Robert F. Mager and through a worldwide network of over 80
consultants, bring more than 800 years of collective experience
to the field of improving workforce performance.
